This becomes a key element to understand the philosophical problem of freedom from the perspective of liberation. Secondly, the Foucauldian difference between liberation and freedom practices is raised, where the argument of the French philosopher is reconstructed. The confession presented as a technique of itself, in addition to allowing us to identify the aforementioned differences, allows us to trace a government logic that has among its tasks, conducting behaviors of a subject who yearns for liberation.  In contrast to the latter, Foucauldian freedom is posed in terms of freedom practices, where new (heterotopic) spaces are opened to constitute other possible ways, through which the subject governs himself and others. El siguiente trabajo en primer lugar, busca por medio de un análisis de la libertad en San Agustín, visualizar como la libertas agustiniana implica la gestación de una auténtica interioridad humana. Esta se vuelve un elemento clave para entender el problema filosófico de la libertad desde la perspectiva de la liberación. En segundo lugar, se plantea la diferencia foucaultiana entre liberación y prácticas de libertad, en donde se reconstruye el argumento del filósofo francés. La confesión presentada como una técnica de sí, además de permitirnos identificar las diferencias mencionadas, permite trazar una lógica de gobierno que tiene entre sus cometidos, conducir conductas de un sujeto que anhela la liberación. En contraposición a esto último, se plantea la libertad foucaultiana en términos de prácticas de libertad, donde se abren nuevos espacios (heterotópicos) para constituir otros modos posibles, mediante el cual el sujeto se gobierna a sí mismo y a los otros.
