This dichotomy presents an opportunity for innovative approaches to sustainable waste management, not only as a means of environment healing,but also as a platform for education and productivity. Embracing this challenge,the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales y Agrimensura UNNE (FaCENA)has embarked on a series of extension projects under the banner of "TowardsZero Waste." This line of progressive initiatives focuses on the transformationof waste into a catalyst to promote growth and learning actions. Los desechos urbanos plantean una doble amenaza como foco de enfermedades y de contaminación, pero, paradójicamente, tienen potencial como fuente de recursos que se pueden valorizar. Esta dicotomía presenta una oportunidad para enfoques innovadores en la gestión sostenible de residuos, no solo como acción sanadora de nuestro ambiente, sino también como plataforma para la educación y la productividad. Aceptando este desafío, la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales y Agrimensura UNNE (FaCENA) se ha embarcado en una serie de proyectos de extensión bajo el lema “Hacia Basura Cero”. Esta línea de iniciativa progresista se centra en la transformación de los residuos en un catalizador de acciones de crecimiento y formación.
