It consists offired clay bricks with a specific size, named “bovedilla”, linked with concrete and reinforced by an ironframework. The standard panels contain 24 “bovedillas” and measures 0.43*2.27m, beingcomplicated to obtain the “bovedillas” suppliers. Generally, they are used in a wall built with twopanels joined at their back. The aim of the research work was to find alternative “bovedillas” that canbe manufactured using wastes and low energy incorporated materials. Three types of masonry unitsmade from different materials were studied: earth, PET, and WEEE plastic bound with Portlandcement. BENO walls using different panels were built, and the compressive strength was measuredafter 28 days. All alternatives showed values grather than 0,4 MPa, and met the requirements of theCIRSOC501E standard, making them suitable for the BENO system. Las placas BENO conforman un sistema constructivo premoldeado diseñado para el hábitat social.Consiste en bovedillas ligadas con concreto y reforzadas por una armadura de hierro. La placaestándar contiene 24 bovedillas y mide 0,43x2,27 m, siendo una dificultad conseguir proveedores delas bovedillas. Generalmente, se usan en un muro construido con dos placas unidas por su parteposterior con una viga de encadenado. El objetivo del trabajo fue encontrar mampuestos alternativosfabricados en base a residuos y materiales de baja energía incorporada. Se estudiaron 3 tipos demampuestos de diferentes materiales: tierra, PET y plástico de RAEE ligados con cemento. Semontaron muros BENO de las diferentes placas y se midió la resistencia a la compresión a los 28días.
