Sumario:The BENO panels constitute a precast construction system designed for social housing. It consists offired clay bricks with a specific size, named “bovedilla”, linked with concrete and reinforced by an ironframework. The standard panels contain 24 “bovedillas” and measures 0.43*2.27m, beingcomplicated to obtain the “bovedillas” suppliers. Generally, they are used in a wall built with twopanels joined at their back. The aim of the research work was to find alternative “bovedillas” that canbe manufactured using wastes and low energy incorporated materials. Three types of masonry unitsmade from different materials were studied: earth, PET, and WEEE plastic bound with Portlandcement. BENO walls using different panels were built, and the compressive strength was measuredafter 28 days. All alternatives showed values grather than 0,4 MPa, and met the requirements of theCIRSOC501E standard, making them suitable for the BENO system.
