Particularly, many of his poetic and actions interventions materialize from an ostensible displacement with respect to the traditional signifier. For this reason, the book object will on various occasions assume the status of a subsidiary space that will receive interventions initially carried out in various material supports, including the author's own corporality. In that order, the notion of “material writing” will be operative in order to recognize, in the survey of some of the most notable Zuritean productions, the centrality of the dialectic between writing and inscription, anchored in a programmatic indistinction between literary text and plastic arts and in the generalized articulation between constructive components coming from diverse material universes. Existe un amplio consenso en el ámbito de la crítica especializada en la obra de Raúl Zurita respecto del reconocimiento de una variedad de procedimientos de inscripción textual que producen un desplazamiento respecto de los formatos tópicos de la comunicación literaria. Particularmente, muchas de sus intervenciones y acciones poéticas se materializan a partir de una ostensible expansión respecto del significante tradicional. Por ello, el objeto libro asumirá en variadas ocasiones el estatuto de espacio subsidiario que receptará intervenciones inicialmente realizadas en variados soportes materiales, incluida la propia corporalidad del autor. En ese orden, la noción de “escritura material” resultará operativa a los fines de reconocer, en el relevamiento de algunas de las más notorias producciones zuriteanas, la centralidad que supone la dialéctica entre escritura e inscripción, anclada en una programática indistinción entre texto literario y artes plásticas y en la generalizada articulación entre componentes constructivos provenientes de universos materiales diversos.
