It supports the hypothesis that Aira and Laguna share not only similar creative procedures, specifically, the use of rapid narrative rhythm and a naïve or childlike perspective of the world, but also a common reflexive stance toward these procedures. Both authors converge at the point where they theorize and program their own literary practices, revealing metaliterature as a generative force that legitimizes and sustains literature itself.
