Sumario:Resolution No. 977/2022 of the Argentine Ministry of Education, which establishes accreditation standards for Veterinary and Veterinary Medicine programs, represents an opportunity to promote curricular innovation aimed at training professionals capable of responding to contemporary challenges in the professional field. Within this framework, this narrative review proposes a renewal of veterinary curricula based on seven conceptual pillars: veterinary professionalism, oriented toward the ethical responsibility and social commitment; comprehensive education, integrating scientific, technical, and socioemotional dimensions; interdisciplinarity and interprofessionality as strategies for the collaborative approach to complex problems; competency-based education, ensuring articulation between knowledge acquisition and professional performance; curricular flexibility aimed to overcoming functionalist and rigid approaches; and institutional culture, reflecting the ideology of each academic community. These principles guide transformations in pedagogical, didactic, and curricular dimensions through the implementation of active methodologies, the design of contextualized learning experiences, and the development of flexible curricular structures that reflect the institutional and cultural diversity of veterinary education in Argentina.
