A qualitative approach has been prioritized, based on a case study design in which the experiences of professionals in the field are recovered. The documentolgist’s training in the professional field is expressed in two processes: self-training and co-training. The first refers to a personal construction instance enabled by the trainee, and the second is a process installed from an indeterminate situation of the profession, in which the knowledge is re-signified by the expert through collaboration with a colleague. Training in this context tends to be flexible, with dynamic and changing roles at the level of the training triad.
