Sumario:The aim of this paper is to characterize the training processes that occur in Documentology’s professional practice, and to analyze the ways in which the documentologist solves the indeterminate situations of the profession and the implications in the development of his professional praxis. A qualitative approach has been prioritized, based on a case study design in which the experiences of professionals in the field are recovered. The documentolgist’s training in the professional field is expressed in two processes: self-training and co-training. The first refers to a personal construction instance enabled by the trainee, and the second is a process installed from an indeterminate situation of the profession, in which the knowledge is re-signified by the expert through collaboration with a colleague. Training in this context tends to be flexible, with dynamic and changing roles at the level of the training triad.
