No hay casi ninguna tesis en filosofía sobre la cual los filósofos estén de acuerdo. En contraste con la mayoría de las explicaciones contemporáneas sobre desacuerdos filosóficos, sostengo que una proporción significativa de los desacuerdos filosóficos tiene sus raíces en diferencias con respecto a los valores. Una segunda tesis que defenderé en este artículo es que los desacuerdos sobre valores no se pueden resolver por medios argumentativos. Disagreement in philosophy is all-pervasive and irresolvable. There is almost nothesis in philosophy about which philosophers agree. In contrast to mostcontemporary accounts of philosophical disagreement, I argue that a significantproportion of philosophical disagreements are rooted in differences regardingvalues. A second thesis that I shall defend in this paper is that disagreementsregarding values are not resolvable by argumentative means. O desacordo em filosofia é onipresente e insolúvel.
