From the absolute incorporation values of withaferin A (1), jaborosalactone A (2) and jaborosalactone D (3) isolated at different times after administration of the tracers, it was deduced that compound 2 is a precursor of both 1 and 3 and that the withanolides are later biodegraded to unknown products.
