Genetic Toxicology is the discipline that fulfills the knowledge of Genetics and Toxicology, offering professionals and students the possibility of learning new abilities in order to monitor environmental exposure. In the present work we analyze the incorporation of Genetic Toxicology as a grade level course in the Degree in Biological Sciences at Buenos Aires University, as well as the impact that the training of future professionals in this discipline may have in the society. Furthermore, the application of cause - effect diagrams (useful to evaluate and improve processes) in order to study the development of the teaching - learning process is discussed. The students' surveys and knowledge polls gathered during 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005 courses also contributed to the analysis of the temporal evolution of the teaching process. Fil:Papeschi, A.G.
