Reactions of co-ordinated boron compounds in the gas phase. Part I. Borine carbonyl and trimethylamine
The reaction between borine carbonyl and trimethylamine has been studied from 207·3 to 273·2°K. Below 273·2°K the reaction is second-order: d(CO)/dt = k(BH3CO)(Me3N). The Arrhenius parameters associated with this SN2 reaction are E = 8·60 ± 0·30 kcal./mole, and A = 10 9·82 ± 0·27 c.c./mole sec. At 2...
