The variations observed in cAMP levels were mainly accounted for by variations in the specific activities of adenylate cyclase and cAMP phosphodiesterase at different stages during germ tube formation. cAMP-dependent protein kinase, measured with kemptide as exogenous substrate, was developmental regulated.
