Sumario: | An extension of the quantal Brownian motion (QBM) model originally applied to collective oscillations in axially symmetric systems is proposed, in order to include a coupling between the harmonic components. Two phonon-phonon interactions are included and the dynamics of the vibrations and of the single-particle states in the heat reservoir is computed, looking for the asymptotic stage of the motion. The effects of these interactions on the boson correlation energy are discussed in connection with the thermalization mechanism. © 1990. |
